Negotiators are working to bring about a six-week pause in fighting in Gaza, which could involve the release of all remaining civilian hostages held by Hamas in exchange for Palestinians in Israeli prisons, according to an early-stage proposal by the United States, Qatar and Egypt, The Washington Post reported. President Biden said Washington has decided on how to respond to the attack in the Jordanian desert that killed three U.S. service members, but he did not provide further details.
